I was born and raised in a small town in Alabama. I had a pretty good childhood and have great parents. I joined the military, shortly after highschool and have been in for the last 6 1/2 years. I have been deployed 4 times on 3 different aircraft carriers (USS Stennis, Nimitz, and Reagan). I have been to Hawaii, Guam, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, UAE, Korea, and Japan. In 6 months, I will be heading to training and school, to prepare for a deployment to Afghanistan.

FYI - I rent a house in Ventura County (beach house I share with my two wonderful friends), I work in Thousand Oaks, I spend time in the San Fernando Valley and I am working on a project in Hollywood. Basically, I'm all over the place, so don't count me out if you see I live 50+ miles away.

im a tomboy. i dont generally mind if my clothes are dirty, or torn. and my hair is usually messy, no matter what i do to try to fix it.

one other thing, i AM an emo person, i DO have issues, but i try to keep them to a minimum. the thing i hate most about life is the drama. i can deal with the work, but the drama, it just kills me. i live for my friends and my family, and, recently, for my boyfriend, too. (Lovee you, Eric~!) but i won't lie, if i were to lose my friends or family, or Eric, idk what i would do. i AM a suicidal sort of person, but i don't want people's pity, or worry. i want people to treat me like anyone else. don't try not to upset me because i might get depressed, upset me if you must, and assume i'll grow up and get over it. if i don't, my own damn fault. lol

i hate being upset. that's why i work so hard to keep everyone else laughing. i try to make my friends and the people around me laugh, and that puts me in a better mood. but i hate that i have to do that for me. i want to be able to do it just for my friends, not need the mood boost for myself. i want to be able to walk in a room, grinning from ewar to ear in the morning, but that rarely happens. i hate being the person who is always upset, who always needs attention. but, at the same time, i DO need attention now and then.

Hmmm I hate this part because describing yourself is hard because I feel so awkward but here goes nothin. I am genuinely happy person and I love adventure. I love nature and music is a major influence in my life. My family and friends mean the world to me. I'm all about cooking ( which is not my real job,but I wish it were).
I spend allot of time on the treadmill. I use to run allot , but now after many scraped knees and too many rounds of shin splints...its down to 3 miles on the treadmill.
I can't get to the movie theater enough, movies, movies, movies ... bring em on! Television serves a good purpose and is best for rush hour traffic reports, weather reports and re-runs of the Sopranos.

I'm a geek. I have a number of eclectic and nerdy interests, including: model building, art collecting, comic collecting, general mechanical and electronic tinkering, cosplay, martial arts, tabletop roleplaying, occasional carpentry, and surfing teh intertubes. Plus the heavy consumption of music, movies, video games, and books. I was once a Car Guy (TM) but retired from that particular hobby because I would have probably ended up owning five cars and nothing else.

As a kid I was a hopeful dreamer, but that changed pretty quick. I am a jaded cynic now, which means I have a good sense of humor. I have an active imagination and a zealous desire to learn new things, which further enhances my dorky nature. I am reserved but not shy, and can babble on for hours when I'm comfortable with the people around me.

I like to think I'm pretty open minded about everyone and everything. I'm not judgmental, and nothing really bugs me other than wanton cruelty or abject idiocy. I believe I'm good at seeing all sides of an argument or position, and so frequently I'm a good peacemaker.

Although I minored in creative writing in college, this is still stinkin' hard but I'll give it a go: I like to paint my nails ridiculous colors, like yellow and bright pink. I obsess over silly things, like whether every sentence is a powerpoint ends with a period or not. I could watch The OC on rerun without end every single day and not get tired of it. Secretly I want to be Jewish. I complain a lot about how tired I am, but I wouldn't trade a minute of my life for one less boring or less busy. Okay, so it was brought to my attention recently that my profile was a bit confusing. I was told I sounded like a jerk... I'm not really a jerk. I'm a nerd. I play video games, I watch lame t.v. shows like Buffy and Smallville. I have a select group of friends, with whom I hang out regularly. I'm picky about foods. I don't usually like anything I can't pronounce, or anything that smells funny. Granted I have a decent sized vocabulary so it isn't usually a problem. I smoke, fully knowing of it's deadly effects and bad smelling aromas. I pride myself on my honesty, and sarcasm. People tell me I'm a nice guy, because I'm always trying to help people... Sometimes my honesty, mixed with my sarcasm, can make me seem rude. I have been told from a few people that I sound like some kind of "hoity-toity" prim and proper type when talking through my fingers. It's because I used to love English in High School, and because of that I always try to use proper grammar when writing. I don't actually talk the way I type. What's really funny is, if I try to not type with proper grammar, I sound like I'm completely retarded...

This year I turn 50 and if I believed in making New Year's Resolutions, it would have been that this is the year that I try new things.

I've been divorced for almost 10 years and I've worked really hard at trying to build a stable environment for both myself and my children.

I have three children, two girls and one son. The oldest is 23 and my son is 17 and they live with me still. My middle daughter is 20 and lives in Oklahoma where their father is living. My son will be graduating from high school in June of this year.

I am the supervisor in the data/tow department of a non profit called Cars4Causes. This company takes car donations and gives the donor a tax write off and allows them to select the charity of their choice to split the profits with.

First of all, I like to explore new things in life. I'm a caring, loving, fun to be around person. I know what I want in life. I like to party, dance, drink, meet new people, cuddle, relax at home, take long walks at the beach, dine out, night out of town, road trips, surf the net, get togethers, bonfires, and shopping.
