I love the great outdoors, especially any thing related to the water. I believe the cup is always half full and the grass is green right where I stand. I prefer dive bars to clubs even though I love to dance and play dress up. Movies on a first date is a terrible idea, if someone wanted to take me in a hot air balloon on a first date I might fall head over heels. I'm tired of meeting guys that say they are looking for love and all they try (unsuccessfully) to do on the first meet is to get into your pants (or skirt). Okay, so it was brought to my attention recently that my profile was a bit confusing. I was told I sounded like a jerk... I'm not really a jerk. I'm a nerd. I play video games, I watch lame t.v. shows like Buffy and Smallville. I have a select group of friends, with whom I hang out regularly. I'm picky about foods. I don't usually like anything I can't pronounce, or anything that smells funny. Granted I have a decent sized vocabulary so it isn't usually a problem. I smoke, fully knowing of it's deadly effects and bad smelling aromas. I pride myself on my honesty, and sarcasm. People tell me I'm a nice guy, because I'm always trying to help people... Sometimes my honesty, mixed with my sarcasm, can make me seem rude. I have been told from a few people that I sound like some kind of "hoity-toity" prim and proper type when talking through my fingers. It's because I used to love English in High School, and because of that I always try to use proper grammar when writing. I don't actually talk the way I type. What's really funny is, if I try to not type with proper grammar, I sound like I'm completely retarded...

I spend most of my weekdays in a lab or library. Spend most weekends in Santa Barbara and Ventura, with friends and family. Not sure what else to put, I guess Ill just update later.

FYI - I rent a house in Ventura County (beach house I share with my two wonderful friends), I work in Thousand Oaks, I spend time in the San Fernando Valley and I am working on a project in Hollywood. Basically, I'm all over the place, so don't count me out if you see I live 50+ miles away.

a lot of guys have thought of me as flirty because of that, but im not. if i like a guy, i get really shy and quiet, and generally try to avoid doing anything to upset that person. im also a rough person. i "abuse" my friends. i don't get along with girls because you can't put a girl in a headlock while rubbing your knuckles into her head and expect her to laugh. with a guy, i can do that.

im a tomboy. i dont generally mind if my clothes are dirty, or torn. and my hair is usually messy, no matter what i do to try to fix it.

one other thing, i AM an emo person, i DO have issues, but i try to keep them to a minimum. the thing i hate most about life is the drama. i can deal with the work, but the drama, it just kills me. i live for my friends and my family, and, recently, for my boyfriend, too. (Lovee you, Eric~!) but i won't lie, if i were to lose my friends or family, or Eric, idk what i would do. i AM a suicidal sort of person, but i don't want people's pity, or worry. i want people to treat me like anyone else. don't try not to upset me because i might get depressed, upset me if you must, and assume i'll grow up and get over it. if i don't, my own damn fault. lol

i hate being upset. that's why i work so hard to keep everyone else laughing. i try to make my friends and the people around me laugh, and that puts me in a better mood. but i hate that i have to do that for me. i want to be able to do it just for my friends, not need the mood boost for myself. i want to be able to walk in a room, grinning from ewar to ear in the morning, but that rarely happens. i hate being the person who is always upset, who always needs attention. but, at the same time, i DO need attention now and then.

What can I say about myself? I'm 23 years old with the whole world ahead of me. Before moving out here I lived in Florida, Virginia, Illinois, and Guam. So yeah, I've kinda been all over the place. I'm not going to school at this time as the current career path I am immersed in takes up a good majority of my time. I'm an Information Systems Technician in the United States Navy. Being in the Navy is okay, it has it's ups and downs, just like everything else. I've got one combat deployment to Afghanistan under my belt, with another one coming up shortly. Ummm, let's see...my sense of style is deeply rooted in the skate/surf culture. As a teenager, skateboarding gave me a sense of identity and it's pretty much been my go-to when it comes to helping mold my outward appearance.

I am 22 years old and still love to have fun and party. I live at the beach and I love to relax out on the deck or on the sand. I am going to Oxnard College but hope to be transferring soon. I love listening to music and going to the movies or watching tv. I also have a new puppy who keeps me pretty busy. I am nice, funny, outgoing, caring, fun, and easy going. I am really easy to get to know and I am very friendly. I also like to do things on spur of the moment without planning that is why it is so much fun.

I am passionate, quirky and creative. I love stories in all forms (books, movies, art, good conversation) and to live life to the fullest. I am a writer and a painter. I love to read and write fiction. I have finished writing two books (the first one is not too great, but the second one I am very proud of!), and am always jotting down chunks for the next one. I'm a very honest person and hate playing games. By that I mean dating games... if you like to play games like Canasta, Sorry, Yahtzee, then that's a different story! I am defiantly a "the glass is half full" type of person.

I've joined a paranormal group (kinda like ghosthunters) we are starting to post episodes on youtube. And I work at a nursery to further my plant knowledge and keep up my sweet nerd reputation!
